Dog Boarding FAQs

Do I have to bring my dog in to meet you before boarding?
Yes. Because all dog boarding guests participate in daycare during their stay, we require all potential boarding guests to come in for at least one day of daycare before they can spend the night with us. This helps ensure that we are a good fit for your dog.

Requirements for Cat Boarding

The following requirements must be met for feline guests at The Pet Spot:

  • All The Pet Spot pre-entry forms and veterinary vaccine records must be completed, submitted, and approved before your cat’s stay with us.

Cat Boarding FAQs

What do I need to bring for my cat to board?
We recommend bringing their regular food because switching their diet could cause stomach upset and unnecessary stress. Please provide dry food in a sealed plastic container and/or unopened canned food. Be sure to bring enough for their entire stay. If your cat usually gets treats or additional supplements or food, please provide those, too. We have a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave, so we can do whatever is necessary to keep your cat on their regular feeding schedule.

If your cat takes medication, please bring it along with the original prescription bottle with clear instructions on when and how much to administer. Additional fees may apply for medication administration depending on the method and difficulty of administration.

You may also want to provide your cat’s usual litter in a sealed bag or plastic container. If there is a particular bed, blanket, or toy your cat likes, feel free to bring it to make your kitty feel more at home.
